Virulence and Resistance Factors Associated with the Specie of Proteus vulgaris

چکیده
Proteus vulgaris belongs to the Enterobacteriaceae family, colonizing mainly gastrointestinal tract of animals, including humans. However, when there is some deregulation in host's immune system, this pathogen spreads, causing several clinical manifestations. Currently literature little discussed about virulence and resistance profile species. Thus, study aimed, through a review, describe main factors strain. Studies have shown that P. associated with most Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), despite being less isolated from mirabilis, exhibiting high motility ability related its fimbriae, enzyme endotoxin secretion, produce urease biofilm formation. As for resistance, intrinsically resistant antibiotics, requiring further studies development new therapeutic alternatives.

Potential virulence factors of Proteus bacilli.
The object of this review is the genus Proteus, which contains bacteria considered now to belong to the opportunistic pathogens. Widely distributed in nature (in soil, water, and sewage), Proteus species play a significant ecological role. When present in the niches of higher macroorganisms, these species are able to evoke pathological events in different regions of the human body. The invaders...

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...
15 صفحه اولBacteriophage typing of Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, and Proteus morganii.
A bacteriphage typing scheme for differentiating Proteus isolated from clinical specimens was developed. Twenty-one distinct patterns of lysis were seen when 15 bacteriophages isolated on 8 Proteus mirabilis, 1 P. vulgaris, and 1 P. morganii were used to type 162 of 189 (85.7%) P. mirabilis and P. vulgaris isolates. Seven phages isolated on 3 P. morganii were used to type 13 of 19 (68.4%) P. mo...
متن کاملSwarming growth and resistance of Proteus penneri and Proteus vulgaris strains to normal human serum.
BACKGROUND Proteus sp. strains isolated from patients with urinary tract infection (UTI) are often insensitive to the bactericidal action of normal human serum (NHS) which poses a clinical problem. The swarming phenomenon is an especially important factor in cases of UTIs gained through the ascending route. Both these virulence factors are connected with the cell surface components of bacteria,...
